Hello everyone and Happy Halloween!
This month we are inviting you to get into the Halloween mood and be STRANGE and GET INKY.
We are also saying goodbye to our lovely DT member Helen and welcoming new DT member Heidi on board.
We are excited to share the latest issue of our new digital magazine - Artful Pages - more details below! But first, let's look at this month's art journal challenge!
Our challenge has two parts, please use both prompts to inspire
you:
As previously mentioned in the Art Café Facebook Group, we have suspended all sponsored prizes until
further notice due to the current world situation.
Helpful Tips For The Challenge
We would like you to be inspired by both parts of our challenge

and our creative challenge - GET INKY
We can't wait to see what you do and if you need more
inspiration, you might find our new magazine useful!
As mentioned at the top of the post, we are excited to share the

able to add more value for our readers which we are not able to do in
our current formats. So here's a look at our latest issue which
is available to flick through online just like a real magazine.

HEIDI MATTESSICH
Heidi says: Happy Fall, Y'all!! This page was a lot of fun to put together and
definitely getting me ready for Halloween. For my inky inspiration I
used Lindy's Starburst Spray (pigment ink) and some Distress ink from
Tim Holtz. Hopefully, the only inky darkness I will get lost in is in
my art

KAT PALECZNY
Kat says: On my page I used the word Strange in my quote 'Somewhere there is someone looking for the strange you are' and was inspired by the layers of ink to create my background with Distress Inks.

SHARON FRITCHMAN
Sharon says: When I think of October, I always think of Halloween! I used
pink, orange, and yellow INKS from my stash to make my background. The
image of the woman and her black wings are from the ArtStacks "All
Dressed Up" and "Wings and Things" stacks. I completed my page with a
STRANGE and eerie quote!

SUNILA MAHAJAN
Sunila says: It's good to be weird, and like the strange things. For my page,
I was inspired to use Ink layers using Distress Inks and Acrylic
Ink. I've used the word Strange in my quote, and created a scene
inspired by Halloween and Harvest. It's time we honour the strange
little things we love.
