Let's learn a little more about MAGENTA through their own words:
Magenta is a Canadian company founded in 1991 by Daniel Tate, Hélène et Nathalie Métivier. It was first born out of a passion that turned from small to a medium-sized enterprise. Today the passion is still alive and it is always with renewed pleasure that we release new collections one after another. In the past year, a new product line was added to our already popular stamps and stencils... Nuance, a range of 20 colours of water soluble powders that can be easily used to create beautiful watercolour effects. We hope that you will check our fine range of products and that you will enjoy!
You can find more about each designer showcased below as well as
all the Magenta product line by visiting the following links:
If you love stamping, then you will want to check out Magenta's store as their collection is one of the most extensive ones out there. But Magenta is not only about stamps - they have lots more products to offer! We are very grateful to have their support and to be able to promote them through their sponsorship.
Here is a reminder of our April Main Challenge
followed by projects designed by some fabulous Magenta designers:
ELLIE KNOL
Ellie: Nature, yes... that is mostly what I get inspired by. It never fails to give me new ideas and inspiration to create. Think of all the texture and shapes, of leaves, flowers and trees or the beauty of the atmosphere and the gorgeous shades of green... and animals, of course! To incorporate the ANIMAL creative challenge, I added several animal images from Magenta stamps.
Ellie used these Magenta stamps, among others,
to create her fabulous art journal page:

MARIETTE VAN LEEUWEN
Mariette: I adore butterflies, so what a perfect match to combine the NATURE word inspiration with images of butterflies as the ANIMAL creative challenge. And lucky me, Magenta carries lots of butterfly stamps and stencils in their product collection. I have worked on this art journal page to create a colorful background with Nuance powders and Magenta stamps and stencil. The stamped and cut-out butterflies are also coloured with the Nuance pigment powders.
Here are just a few of the pretty stamps that Mariette added to her stunning page:
JANE JONES
Jane: I am thrilled that this challenge is all about NATURE. I am fortunate to live in a lovely area surrounded by forests and wildlife. My many gardens attract butterflies, dragonflies and birds of all varieties. My dearest furry ANIMAL friend, Sally, loves to wander through our paradise as much as I do. You can tell by the smile on her face!
To create her beautiful nature-inspired background, Jane used different shades of Magenta Nuance powdered dyes with various Magenta foliage stamps.
Overall, some of the many stamps that Jane used are:
Bird on Branch (37.285)
Fern (0416)
Papillons Post Card (40.327)
CAROLE DION
Carole: The word NATURE represents for me the calm, the beauty and the tender gestures of the animals that surround us on this planet, however wild they may be. The polar bear is one of my favorite ANIMAL. I absolutely love this photo and was inspired by the word to create this layout with it. On my page, I d chose earth tones with some green that to me are synonymous with life and nature.
Magenta has an extensive collection of stamps, as seen by the projects above, but they also have a very impressive amount of gorgeous masks to choose from. Here are just a few, including the first that Carole has used on her awesome layout:
